Akasha
Suzy Q, born on February 5th 1985 in Upper Austria, singer in many well known Austrian bands like Harri Stojka’s „Innere Stadt“, „Ulli Bär“, „Lilly Mondän“, „Maiden für Jeden“, „Löwenherz“, „Hallows End“ and „Sextiger“ is traded as the most interesting upcoming rock voice in Austria.
Besides singing in many projects, recording jingles and spots she is permanently working on her own songs.
Writing songs and lyrics has come natural to her ever since she was a child, up till now when she is one of the most promising newcomers in Austria.
Her exceptional and versatile rough and smooth voice, convincing equally in Hard´n´Heavy, Gothic, Soul, Pop and Chanson leaves you impressed and touched, has the power to move and elate very big audiences.
Just one example of her impressing art is the debut single "Under My Wing", an emotional Rock Ballad with a powerful melody and touching lyrics. "Its all about losses in life and the way we cope with our mourning. It´s a thing that happens to all of us." says Suzy Q.
In spring 2008 Keyboarder and Pianist Martin Oberneder, known from projects like „Hathor“ and „Baroque“, and Suzy Q meet in Martin´s studio. A special musical friendship evolves quickly, motivating them to spend their time together to bring their ideas to life. A congenial partner is found in the person of Andreas Landauer on drums - „Akasha“ is born.
In summer 2009 the band signes with SixtySix Records in Vienna.
