Blau AG have got the blues, and have had so for twenty years now. Their mission is clear, they play bluesmusic with German lyrics, or rather Viennese lyrics. Like their musical style their band members also combine the differences: band members come from Vienna, Lower Austria and Bolivia. Thereby they represent a typical Viennese 'Melange'
Their thrid album "Kumm ma ned a so" features for the first time not only original songs but three cover versions of well known Austrian artists ( Georg Danzer, Maria Bill, Andre Heller)
Recommended tracks: Der letzte Gspritzte, Du bist a ned alla
In spring 2102 Blau AG and another typical Viennese band called Skorepa & Fuchs started a series of gigs. Each of the band alternates as host for a show with a guest band. Needless to say, all of these bands are rooted in the dialect-music of Vienna. If you want to dig deep into the Viennese dialect and associated music then visit the Weana Wötn gigs currently residing in Bierkanzlei.
